6:00 PM

A new presenter for the Columbia Public Library community programs (but certainly not new to me!) is Dr. Robert Frick. A retired educator/school superintendent, he now shares historical presentations to keep “education alive and well – and always with a smile”. Dr. Frick will be sharing a presentation featuring Thaddeus Stevens and Lydia Hamilton Smith. Columbia has a long history of abolitionism, and these two Lancaster abolitionists had considerable influence here in Columbia. If you are interested in Columbia’s history and would like to learn from a really great teacher, this program is for you. I personally know that Dr. Frick is a super teacher because he was my elementary school principal. Light refreshments will be served.
