April 17 at 10am: Lemon Meringue Pie
Ingredients:
- 1 pie crust dough (homemade or store bought)
- 5 large eggs
- 1 1/3 cups water
- 1 cup sugar + 1/2 cup additional
- 1/3 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt + 1/8 teaspoon additional
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temp
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- Supplies: 9 inch pie dish, whisk, saucepan, measuring cups and spoons, bowl, spoon, spatula, electric mixer
