April 14 at 4pm: National Soft Pretzel Month – 30 Minute Soft Pretzels with Charlotte

Ingredients:

  • 1 and 1/2 cups warm water
  • 1 packet active dry or instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 Tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour (optional: blend equal parts whole wheat & all-purpose flours)
  • 1 large egg
  • Coarse sea salt, for sprinkling
  • Cooking spray
  • Supplies: parchment-lined baking sheet, measuring cups/spoons, mixing bowl, small bowl, wooden spoon, kid-friendly knife
